Phalaphala FM
Station Profile
Phalaphala FM was established on February 1, 1965, and later emerged in its current form following the 1998 merger of Radio Venda and Radio Thohoyandou. These two stations had distinct origins—Radio Venda stemmed from the Venda Bantustan, while Radio Thohoyandou was an SABC public broadcaster with a commercial wing that included English-language programming under different licensing conditions.
Broadcasting in Tshivenda, Phalaphala FM operates from Limpopo and is known for its warm, energetic, and approachable nature.
